Abstract:
Recently, exciting progress has been made towards the creation of electronic devices via unconventional fabrication routes. For example, liquid processing techniques such as printing and spraying are enabling the production of nanomaterial-based electronic devices that are assembled directly on everyday substrates, such as plastic films. This approach is interesting as it presents an opportunity to develop electronic devices that are mechanically flexible and even transparent. Clearly, these possibilities will lead to a host of applications that are impossible using traditional manufacturing techniques.
