The RISING project brought together a group of concerned citizens to creatively take action on climate change in their local area of Dublin’s Docklands — diverse communities residing in areas including Westland Row, City Quay, Pearse Street, Grand Canal Dock and Ringsend. The project, which ran from October 2021 to May 2022, was led by Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and Brokentalkers Theatre Company, in collaboration with Dublin Theatre Festival and Algorithm Creative Production Studio. The research presented in this evaluation report sought to understand the efficacy of the creative approach to community engagement with climate action, the conditions for public engagement, and the challenges and opportunities encountered throughout the project.en
