dc.description.abstract | This article presents a case study of the transition of Unitech Systems from an entrepreneurship to a professionally managed firm. It also describes an approach to the development of a system for "performance optimization" that involves reconceptualizing the role of strategic planning as a tool for overall organizational development and strategic management as well as certain "experiments" with the nature of reward systems used.
