Study objectives: The two main questions addressed in the research were: 1. Taking into account current demographic and social
factors, what role could Employment Support Schemes play in maintaining and developing a professional CIS service and what was the best possible fit for these programmes with the CIS service delivery model into the future taking account of the three different service strands - information, advice/assistance and advocacy? -- 2. What contribution did the CIS model of engagement
with Employment Support Schemes make to the work placement and employment activation agenda?
