Project Approval Guidelines 2024 (Infrastructure Projects and Programmes) : March 2024

Abstract

The purpose of these Project Approval Guidelines (Infrastructure projects and programmes) (the “Guidelines”) is to provide a framework to ensure the successful delivery and oversight of capital infrastructure projects funded by the NTA, ensuring that the correct project is implemented in an appropriate manner at an optimal cost. Separate NTA guidelines are in place for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects/programmes. The Guidelines set out the key documentation to be developed by Sponsoring Agencies, which, in addition to ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Infrastructure Guidelines (published by the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform), will also provide a robust basis for project development.
