dc.descriptionThis watercolour depicts two views of Pest. The larger shows the Danube river and the view across to Buda and Buda Castle at the top of the hill. The smaller image is surrounded by ornament drawn to simulate stucco framework and depicts a street scene from Pest. Below the smaller work among the ornamentation are the dates 1853 and 1859, though this painting is dated to 1892.en
