dc.description'This drawing, by Joseph Turner, is a copy of an original by Angelo Maria Bigari which is preserved in the Austin Cooper Collection as 2122 TX (3) 23. The image is a view of the 13th century castle built probably by the O'Conor Kings of Connacht at Ballintober, County Roscommon, Ireland. The view through the dilapidated entrance gate in the centre, and over the ruinous walls shows the large square interior of the castle flanked by walls.' (www.nli.ie)en
