Cooper who signed his name to the drawing may be Jonathon Sisson Cooper, a cousin of Austin Cooper, who would have only been 17 years old at the time the drawing was executed. The drawing depicts the roughly square-shaped castle of Ballymote, County Sligo, Ireland, with a total of four drum towers, all but one of them on a corner.
