dc.description'This image is a copy of an original by Angelo Maria Bigari which is preserved in the NLI collection as 2122 TX (15). The J.S. Cooper who signed his name to the drawing may be Jonathon Sisson Cooper, a cousin of Austin Cooper, who would have only been 17 years old at the time the drawing was executed. The drawing depicts the roughly square-shaped castle of Ballymote, County Sligo, Ireland, with a total of four drum towers, all but one of them on a corner. Figures can be seen on the rubble in the nearest corner tower.' (www.nli.ie)en
