dc.description | Little is known of the artist, though he seems to have enjoyed a fair portrait practice in Dublin. He first appears as an exhibitor in the Royal Academy in 1829, and at the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1830. He spent some time in Paris before returning to Dublin and exhibiting again in 1843-44. He received a prize from the Royal Irish Union of Art for his painting 'La Jeune Artiste'. | en |
