dc.description.abstract	The aim of this research is the recontextualization of Irish late Gothic architecture. The study seeks to isolate the pattern of architectural development within the country and to place it in a broader European architectural setting. The primary research tool is the analysis of moulding profiles, the patterns carved into masonry by those responsible for designing the building.	en

Unlocking the Treasures
Trinity College?s Long Room Hub, a new initiative that is set to transform research in the arts, humanities and social sciences was launched on Wednesday, 14 June 2006 by Senator Maurice Hayes and the Chair of the American Ireland Fund, Dr Loretta Brennan Glucksman. To mark the occasion a colloquium and poster exhibition was held to showcase some of the new research projects in Trinity. This collection is a record of that event.
