dc.description.abstractIn January, 1946, I read a paper before this Society, on the financial and operating statistics of the G.S. Rys. Co. and G.N.R. Co., 1938-44, which was preceded in May, 1938, by a similar survey of the G.S. Rys. Co. 1925-37, and also an analysis of the legislation affecting the Company during that period. The object of the present paper is to outline the chief provisions of the Irish Transport Acts, 1944 and 1950, and, in addition, a consideration of the financial and operating statistics of C.I.E. and of the G.N.R. Co. from 1945 to 1951.en
