THE EXPERIMENTAL SYSTEM USES HYBRID VERY LARGE SCALE INTEGRATED OPTOELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY WHEREBY IN CAAS-BASED DETECTORS AND MODULATORS ARE FLIP-CHIP BONDED ONTO SILICON INTEGRATED CIRCUITS.
