| dc.description.abstract | This paper takes a preliminary look at a disaggregate data source not previously used in the analysis of Northern Ireland migration patterns. Official Northern Ireland migration data are published in the form of aggregate net out-migration statistics which provide no information on the personal characteristics of migrants moving between Northern Ireland and Great Britain. The Labour Force Survey data utilised in this paper suggest that the migrant population moving between NI and GB is strongly bi-modal, with the less skilled and less qualified exhibiting a high degree of mobility relative to migration within GB itself. | en |
