dc.description.abstractThis paper is concerned with a closer examination of the interaction between household size and composition and household expenditures, using, as in the previous study, data collected by the Central Statistics Office and published in the Household Budget Inquiry 1965. Other facets of the expenditure functionthat are examined are the effects of socio-economic status of households on expenditure patterns and also variations in average prices paid.
