The Social Inclusion Forum (SIF) was established by the government as part of the structures to monitor and evaluate Ireland’s National Action Plan for Social Inclusion (NAPinclusion) 2007- 2016. The Social Inclusion Division of the Department of Social Protection has been given the responsibility by the government to convene the Social Inclusion Forum, which is a key element of the government’s commitment to consult with all relevant stakeholders, including people experiencing poverty and the groups that represent them in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. The Forum provides an opportunity for engagement between officials from government departments, community and voluntary organisations and people experiencing poverty in relation to the National Action Plan for Social Inclusion. The 2011 Forum was organised by the Social Inclusion Division in partnership with the Community Worker’s Co-operative (CWC) and the European Anti-Poverty Network Ireland (EAPN). This report provides a summary of the eight meeting of the Forum which took place on Wednesday 9th November at the F2 Centre, 3 Reuben Plaza Rialto, Dublin 8.en
