The Irish scientific research system is currently experiencing an unprecedented growth, following an investment programme launched in 2000. In order to underpin this growth the country is seeking to attract more research graduates from outside the country. The Expert Group for Future Skills Needs have established that the projected demand for graduate researchers can not be met by the current flow of Irish research graduates.
