The genus Syzygium (Myrtaceae) is fully revised for Indochina (Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam). The species key, descriptions, typification, ecology, conservation status, phenology, vernacular names, usages, distribution maps, selected scanned herbarium images and specimens examined are given. Fifty six Syzygium species in Indochina are recognised within the subgenera Acmena, Perikion, Sequestratum and Syzygium. Seven species are endemic to Indochina. Three species are new to science (S. bokorense, S. chantaranothaianum and S. cucphuongense). Sixty two lectotypes have been designated here and 23 species names are new synonyms. Vietnam harbours the largest number of species (49), followed by Laos (30) and Cambodia (27).
