| dc.description | The Social Inclusion Forum (SIF) was established by the Government as part of the structures to monitor and evaluate Ireland’s National Action Plan for Social Inclusion (NAPinclusion). The Social Inclusion Division of the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has been given responsibility by Government to convene the Social Inclusion Forum and is assisted in this work by the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) Ireland and Community Work Ireland (CWI). The event provides a forum for engagement between officials from government departments, community and voluntary organisations and people experiencing poverty.
The Social Inclusion Forum was held on Thursday 25 May 2017 in the Aviva Stadium in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The theme for the 2017 Forum – ‘National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007-2017 Reflecting on the past and informing the future’ – reflects the fact that the timeframe for the National Action Plan 2007-2017 has drawn to an end and that a new national anti-poverty strategy must now be developed. | en |
