dc.description.abstract | Prediction of fatigue failure in engineering artefects is becoming increasingly important as
we enter the third millennium; more catastrophic fatigue failures will occur as engineers push
the limits of design even further due to demands for greater efficiency. This thesis describes a
methodology for predicting fatigue failure in engineering components subjected to high cycle
fatigue using the finite element analysis method. | |
