Abstract:
This work concerns the relationship between bone and its environment and how changes in this environment affect its mechanical behaviour. More particularly, it concerns how the alteration of this environment following menopause or ovariectomy induced decline in ovarian activity affects bone. The effect in question is that on the mechanical characteristics of the bone over time.
