Abstract:
In the studies described here the role of vision on haptic spatial cognition was
investigated. Since vision is believed to be the most important sense for spatial perception I
investigated whether it affects spatial processing in a non-visual modality, namely haptics.
The task in all the experiments consisted of an old/new recognition paradigm with an array
of objects (i.e. scenes) presented in peripersonal space.
