dc.description.abstract | The application of a discursive approach to the subject of this study can be seen as an attempt to create a link between psychology and linguistics, where grammatical structures and language itself constitute the basis for this
connection (Quigley, 2000). Language is not treated as a mere symbolic outlet of cognition. It is conceptualised as a meaningful representational system, mirroring not only the external reality it is employed to represent but also the psychological, cultural, social and discursive context from which such representations arise. | |
