dc.description.abstract | Many promising Digital Health Innovations do not make it to the
market, as sustainable Business Models are difficult to find. This paper aims to
show how sustainable and country-specific business models can be developed
presenting several business model scenarios for an exemplary Digital Health
Innovation: The ProACT service in Ireland and Belgium, a sensor platform that
uses wearables to support self-management of elderly people with multiple
chronic health conditions. The results of the research show that there are
multiple plausible Business Model scenarios for each target country that can be
classified in archetypes such as B2B, B2C or B2B2C. Each Business Model
however, even when following the same basic logic, has to be embedded into a
specific exploitation scenario, adapting it to the specific environment. | en |
