Abstract:
In modem evolutionary theory, cross-sex friendship does not explicitly fit into the
framework of sexual selection and parental investment, but it is possible that crosssex
friendship is employed as an arena for sexual strategies. In this research, crosssex
friendship was hypothesised as incorporated in the total human mating effort.
