The thesis studies the phenomenon and the concept of habitual voting. It focuses on the phenomenon of habitual turnout, the tendency for a stable propensity to vote (or abstain) to form during the period of a few initial elections in a person's life. Such a "habit" then remains relatively immune to contextual influences.
