Equal-sized bubbles of average diameter less than one millimetre are found to spontaneously crystallise upon formation. While previously employed by Sir Laurence Bragg as an ideal system with which to study crystalline systems, this work has been so far limited to two-dimensions due to the problems associated with imaging foams in three-dimensions. Here we demonstrate that advances in μCT X-ray tomography have now produced a technique which will allow for the successful three-dimensional imaging of these foams.
