Spatial relative deprivation measures have been developed in Northern Ireland since the 1970s. Most recently, the Northern Ireland Multiple Deprivation Measures 2017 was released last year. Whilst the suite was an update of the 2010 Measure, several new and innovative indicators were incorporated for the first time. The work also included a broad programme of public engagement to educate users at all levels on the use of deprivation measures, and several online tools to explore the wealth of information.en
