Universal Free Trade

Abstract

We present ourselves here as delegates from the central committee of the ?International Association for Customs Reform" established in Brussels, of which I have the honour of being the president. I am directed by the central committee to call your attention to the object of our association and to make known to you the progress we are making in the more practical application, particularly in Belgium, of the principles of political economy to the international intercourse between nations. I shall also venture to add a few observations upon the British tariff.
