Description:
This plan sets out measures to improve care for patients waiting for scheduled care in 2019 by reducing wait times for hospital operations and procedures and Outpatient Appointments. Under the plan: - The HSE is to deliver 1.155m (2018-1.14m) elective hospital operations and procedures (including GI Scopes) at a value of €1.4bn. - The HSE will deliver more than 1m (2018 - 953,000) outpatient appointments to new patients at a value of approximately €130m. - The NTPF will arrange 25,000 (2018 – 22,000) hospital operations and procedures at a value of €58m. - The NTPF will arrange 5,000 (2018 – 4,000) Gastro Intestinal Scopes at a value of €5m. - The NTPF will arrange 40,000 (2018 – 7,000) oupatient appointments for new patients at a value of €6m.
