| dc.description | It is my pleasure to present the Annual Report of the Audit Committee of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (“the Department”), which covers the activities of the Committee for the period 1 January to 31 December 2018.
As set out in the Audit Committee Charter, the Committee has an independent role in the provision of assurance to the Secretary General, which includes consideration of the adequacy and effectiveness of the Department’s internal control systems, risk management processes and on the operation of the internal audit function. On the basis of its considerations during the past year, the Audit Committee is satisfied that the Department’s internal controls and risk management frameworks are operating satisfactorily. | en |
