LVA is fully engaged with Government Hospitality Working Group to Highlight Trade’s Concerns.

Late pubs and nightclubs important employers and also venues for live musicians/ DJs. Plan also needs to provide for use of bar counter and normal trading resuming in hospitality.

Any pub or nightclub seeking to open late must pay Government additional €410 per night.

Hope required for hospitality and other ‘non essential’ sectors still closed. After such an extended closure Government has responsibility to provide pathway.

Choices came down to keeping indoor hospitality shut for several more months or proceed with 'hugely challenging' system. Huge political will now required to achieve 19 July reopening date.

Too late to make an announcement on 2nd July if reopening is happening on 5th July. Mixed messaging coming from Government must stop.
