With the advance of modern network technologies, people now enjoy increased convenience whilst occasionally suffering annoyance from network issues by lacking domain expertise. In the Home Area Network (HAN), these issues bring extra support costs for network providers and also reduce the user's satisfaction. Network providers also face a number of systemic challenges to delivery services and ensuring the Quality of Experience (QoE) for the end-user. A key challenge is how to support non-expert users to understand and monitor complex network systems by leveraging domain expert knowledge.
