Synthesis of some homochiral-2aminopyridine N-oxides as potential chiral hypernucleophilic acylation catalysts

Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the study and attempted synthesis of an array of homochiral pyridines and their N-oxides and their ultimate use as potential hypernucleophilic promoters of the acylation of a variety of racemic alcohols.
