Abstract:
Background: Good quality referral letters are an essential part of good clinical care and act as the interface between healthcare professionals in Primary and Secondary care. The letters should have enough information to ensure that patients are managed safely and effectively. Aim of the audit: to review the quality of referral letters received in the ED at SJH from local GPs on patients requiring admission.
