dc.description.abstract | Aspergillus fumigatus is a ubiquitous saprophytic fungus that is a pathogen in principally immunocompromised hosts. It is the most common fungal pathogen in Cystic Fibrosis (CF), most often associated with Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA). However, CF patients are also commonly colonised with A. fumigatus without displaying any symptoms of ABPA. | |
